Washington, DC is serviced by three Airports.
Reagan National is located 3.8 miles from downtown DC.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Chantilly, VA, 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC.
Baltimore Washington International (BWI) 33mi from DC.
Washington is serviced by the Metro subway and bus system. It is a great way to enjoy the sights of the city. Route maps and further information is available at the WMATA website.
Because the Cathedral is not located near a metro stop some guests may prefer to rent a car and drive to the location.
In addition, there are taxis available. In Washington the cabs no longer use the 'zone' system to determine fares. But be careful cabbies still try to take advantage of residents and might try it on out-of-towners.
More information, along with a helpful Visitor's Guide is available from the Washington Post. Please note you will have to register with The Post to access their content but its free.
